THE NIGHT BEFORE THE MUSIC DIED
On a way station somewhere between heaven and hell, a group of rock 'n' roll rebels, wait for the winds of change to blow their way. It's New Years eve, 1958, a disc jockey broadcasts live from a record store window on Hollywood Blvd. as these rebel rockers, sitting on a cloud, relive the best years of their lives. Ricky Nelson, Sharon Sheeley (writer of "Poor Little Fools"), Eddie Cochran ("Summertime Blues"), Richie Valens ("La Bamba"), Gene Vincent ("Be Bop A Lula"), and Buddy Holly prepare for the ill-fated winter tour ("Bye, Bye, Miss, American Pie"). It's the story of the night before; "the day the music died."
